Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This Warranty gives benefits that are in addition to other rights and remedies that you might have under Australian consumer protection laws.
Nova Caravans will repair or replace (at its option) at no cost to you any defect in your caravan to the extent to which it was caused by defective materials or workmanship in Nova Caravan’s assembly or manufacture of your caravan.
Duration of this Warranty
Claims under this Warranty must be made within Thirty Six (36) months from the date you first purchased the caravan.
Warranty Form
The Nova Warranty Registration Form must be correctly filled out at the time you collect your new caravan and returned to Nova Caravans Head Office.
What is not covered by this warranty?
A defect will not be covered by this Warranty if it is due to:
Work having been carried out by someone other than Nova Caravans or an Authorised Repair Agent;
The caravan having been used other than for the purpose for which it was designed;
The caravan having been modified or customised at your request;
Abuse, misuse, neglect or accident;
The caravan not having been properly operated and maintained in a safe and roadworthy condition and in accordance withall recommendations and instructions (including any maintenance schedules) of Nova Caravans, its Dealers and Authorised Repair Agents;
The caravan having been subjected to abnormal conditions, including environment, temperature, water, fire, humidity, pressure, stress or similar;
Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to impact and stone damage;
Water damage caused by, for example, creek crossing, flooding or similar conditions;
Excessive speed or hard impact.
Any consequential or indirect loss or damage is not covered by this Warranty.
Supplied Components
Materials and components/appliances used in the caravan not manufactured by Nova Caravans are not covered by this Warranty. Instead, they are separately warranted by their individual manufacturer.
These include but are not limited to:
Air conditioner
Awnings
Blinds & Windows
CD/DVD/MP3
Chassis
Freezer
Microwave ovens
Refrigerator
Stove/oven
Suspension
Television
Toilet
Water pumps
Please note the length of warranty periods provided on the supplied components and their terms may vary.
Any costs associated with removing or reinstating any of the supplied components for the purposes of making a claim under the supplier’s warranty are not covered by this Warranty.
How to make a claim?
You must first contact the Dealership from which you purchased the caravan. If you don’t have the details, they can be located under ‘Dealerships’ at www.novacaravans.com.au.
All warranty work must be assessed by an Authorised Repair Agent and a quote sent to Nova Caravans Head office for approval prior to work commencing. If the Authorised Repair Agent finds that there is no defect covered by this Warranty, the costs of the Authorised Repair Agent will be borne by you. Authorised Repair Agents can be located on the website under ‘Customer Care’.
The Authorised Repairer will liaise with Nova Caravans and if work is to be done under this Warranty, Nova Caravans will issue the Repair Agent with a Warranty Approval number allowing the warranty work to begin. Whoever you first contact to make a claim, you must provide them with the following information:
Your Contact details
The Chassis number of your caravan
Purchase Date and Name of the Dealership the Caravan was purchased from.
