The Nova Terra Sportz launched in 2011 aiming the off-road market. The Terra Sportz was introduced due to customer’s demand for Off-Road caravans. Prior to the Terra Sportz launch, Nova Caravans had been recognised for building luxury caravans with exceptional quality. After years of research and development, we were happy to introduce Nova Caravans’ first-ever off-roader. The main features of this van were full underneath protection, gusseted timber frames, aluminium composite cladding, higher checkerplate, and Simplicity suspension.
Terra 2013
After the initial launch, the Nova Terra Sportz became a very popular model in the Nova Caravans range. The main specifications of the Terra Sportz remained the same, however, solar panels were added as standard and the external look was changed featuring black accessories giving the van a bold look. Internally, a contemporary style was introduced to all the vans with fresh and modern colours and finishes.
The SupaGal chassis is strong yet lightweight, incorporating a fully welded 150 x 50 x 3mm drawbar constructed and all manufactured from premium Australian BHP steel. Standard GT Sport models ride on Dexter Torflex independent rubber suspension for smooth towing and longevity. The Dexter system comes with an industry leading 10 year manufacturer’s warranty and is a lightweight torsion arm design that is self-contained within the axle tube. It attaches directly to the chassis, adding strength as a load carrying cross member.
Terra 2015
The demand continued to grow for full off-road vans and in 2015 we built our first ‘Toy-Hauler’ Terra Sportz. Customers were looking for bigger vans that they could use to go anywhere. On top of that, they wanted a van capable of taking their bigger ‘toys’ and gear for that perfect off-road adventure. The Terra Sportz was the van that offered the strength and performance for those outdoor enthusiasts.
Terra 2019 - A caravan that breaks all the rules
The Terra Sportz continues to be Nova Caravans most popular model. In 2018 Nova Caravans listened to customer’s feedback and decided to revamp the look of the Terra Sportz. The main change was to the construction and external look of the van. The Terra Sportz comes now standard with the Nova Pro-Al sandwich panel walls. These walls offer a strong and lightweight structure with exceptional insulation properties. These walls are extremely durable, will nor age or discolour over time and deliver a sleek finish with a smooth and easy to maintain surface. The one-piece construction eliminates external joints and reduces the opportunity for water ingress making them moist resistant. With the inclusion (as standard) of stage 4 fully automatic air-bags, disc brakes & dust reduction system the Terra Sportz is a full off road caravan in a class of its own.
